About OverYou
OverYou: No Contact & Breakup is an independent iPhone app for one specific moment: the weeks and months after a breakup, when you know you should stop checking your ex and it is still very hard to do. It gives you a no-contact streak, a 60-second timer for when the urge hits, a place to write the message instead of sending it, a journal, and Mochi, a grumpy cat who listens.
It is built around a simple idea. Getting over someone is less about willpower and more about breaking a habit: the habit of turning to them, checking on them, and waiting for them. Habits change with small, repeated wins, so that is what the app helps you collect.
How our guides are written
- Practical first. Every guide aims to give you something you can do today, not just ideas to think about.
- No games. We don't write about tricks to make an ex come back. No contact here is for your own healing.
- No invented numbers. We don't make up statistics or studies. When we describe a common technique, such as riding out an urge instead of acting on it, we describe it plainly.
- Kept up to date. Each guide shows when it was published and when it was last updated.
- Not a replacement for professional help. We are not therapists, and our guides are not medical or psychological advice. If you are struggling to cope, please talk to a doctor or a mental health professional.
Privacy
The app has no account, no advertising and no tracking. Your streak, journal and photos stay on your iPhone. The details are in our privacy policy.
